Gone but not forgotten: Whitman students mourn the death of William Howard Taft
Yet another American icon has been taken from us; William Howard Taft passed away on March 8, 1930, a month after he fell ill in February.
Taft, who was best known for being fat and having a really cool mustache, had gathered a lot of adamant supporters throughout his life.
“This is such a crushing loss” said William Howard Taft IV, leader of the Walt Whitman High School William Howard Taft Super Fanclub (WWHSWHTSFC). “Life just doesn’t feel the same without William.”
Taft also was President at a time, probably.
