Breaking: MCPS Board of Education requests Wootton to change name of school to Lootton because they ‘take too many Ls’

In the wake of Whitman wins again Wootton in both the girl’s varsity soccer regional championship and the handball county championship — just hours apart — the MCPS Board of Education has taken swift action to change the name of the school.

“A school’s name should reflect our student body’s ever-changing voices, beliefs and values,” Board of Education member Will Jawando said. “Right now, there’s no name that better represent Wootton’s student body than Lootton.”
