Is Katie Ledecky a fish?

Katie Ledecky is one of the greatest swimmers of all time. She has won five Olympic Gold medals. Her time in the 1500 meter swim of 15 minutes, 34.23 seconds was arguably one of the greatest accomplishments since iOS 8.

Ledecky’s ability to move in water is so unprecedented that major groups of swimmers who all live near the equator (Democrats) have become suspicious. First, these groups claimed that Ledecky is using performance enhancing drugs but such allegations have been dropped. More recently, the groups accused Ledecky of a far worse crime.

They claimed she injected herself with fish DNA that mixes with her own. This would give Ledecky many of the properties of fish such as the ability to breathe underwater and the ability to never be thirsty. In other words, Ledecky is slowly turning herself into a fish.

While this theory is only speculation at this point in time, many extremely credible news sites have given their opinion on the topic. The consensus among these news outlets have been that Ledecky is most likely not a fish due to the fact that she looks nothing like a fish.

At this time, I’d like to share some of my own observations on the topic. Even though Ledecky may not look like your typical fish, not all fish look the same according to LiveAquaria. This new information leads me to believe that there might be a species of fish that actually looks like Katie Ledecky. Before you dismiss my theory, let me present you with a holistic review of the evidence (much like the Common App).

For starters, she has the same haircut as a fish. She also has scars from a surgery that are located around where her gills would be. Most importantly, if you have ever analyzed Ledecky’s motions while swimming, you would know that it doesn’t match up with any conventional swimming strokes. So, I would have to respectfully disagree with the news outlets by saying that I believe she is in fact a fish.

“Oh yeah, she’s totally a fish,” Aquaman said. “If you ever wondered what a fish looked like, search up Katie Ledecky on the Internet.”
