Student hospitalized after being run over by athletic director’s golf cart

Yesterday afternoon, devastation struck the Whitman Community as a student athlete was rushed to Suburban hospital after being run over by the athletic director’s golf cart. The student is reported to be in critical condition, yet their doctors are hopeful for a full recovery.

The accident occurred while the student was leaving the tennis courts to go to the bathroom. After turning a sharp corner, the student was met with the front of the golf cart, and subsequently struck. 

“The A.D. was zooming,” shared one eye witness.  “One second I’m getting water, the next I see a blood bath.”

Details regarding the athletic director’s punishment are not yet known, though it has been rumored his replacement is imminent. Until further action is taken, the Whitman community must look both ways when they’re crossing streets and tennis pathways.
